One Shot Film.......The Meeting

This is our group one shot video of “The Meeting” we were given the task of shooting a film based on some sort of meeting where there is one take and the camera will only pan once. We opted to go for a meeting portraying a retired assassin being dragged in for one final hit. After a bit of location spotting we came across an open space at the arboretum in Nottingham which had a clock tower in the background which would aid to setting the mood. One of the things we agreed about the shot is that we shouldn’t be able to see the faces of the actors to add an element of mystery.

Once I uploaded the film I wanted a dreamy effect to the start of the clip so I applied a blur filter and blended it to the first part of the scene where the assassin is receiving his orders, as soon as he leaves I faded it out then removed the dreamy filter but then darkened the shot and upped the contrast to portray a shady exchange between the original client and the person really pulling the strings.

The unfortunate thing is the sound didn’t come out very well at all and background noises and wind are evident throughout the shot but nonetheless here is the clip!!
